Signs - Operating Instructions

We frequent a laundromat weekly. I got a chuckle out of this sign on the large dryer.

I don't know about YOU, but it's been like, uh, NEVER, since I've found a PET or a CHILD in a dryer!

Well alrighty. Not sure I have EVER found a living being in my dryer. (And I always had a buttload of kids at my house.)

Most of the time I can't even find change!

It's a good idea to remind people.

Well, that laundromat can never be accused of overlooking any possibilities, can they?!

my cat had been known to sleep in the dryer, but then that is in my own home!!

Yes, this warning became federally mandated after my mom failed to remove my brother from the dryer before starting it...... from 1964-88. The dryer sheets did give him a lovely head of hair.

Actually, my cat liked to nap in the warmth of the dryer if we forgot to close the door!

Chip--ohmygosh! That is too funny! :)

Pat--I can't think of even once when someone walked out and forgot that they left their child in a dryer. I keep hoping to find green paper with pictures of my uncle Ben on them!!!! Never found those either! ;-)

I have never found any living creatures inside a machine at a laundromat but, like Eva, my cat loved to sleep inside the dryer if the door was open.
