Weekend Reflections - Full Metal Robe
Some of my followers might have seen this before. This is a beautiful exhibit in the Seattle Art Museum called, "Some/One" by Do-Ho Suh, made up of thousands of dog tags.
Here is a close up of the tags.
Another shot of the dog tag robe.
My reflection inside the robe as I'm taking a picture of it.
Here is a little more info on the sculpture.

What an unusual reflection, inside an artwork. And intereseting information too. I wonder what the connection is between dogs and a robe?
that is absolutely beautiful.
Oh, wow!
Hi Pat,
Sorry I haven't been around lately to comment. This is an awesome sculpture. Sure makes one pause and think. Many. many lives are represented there.

what an amazing sculpture...and nice reflection. smiles.
Wow - - what an amazing piece of art! Your reflection posts have inspired me to look at things with a "new eye". I took a couple of those pictures this weekend - - but haven't gotten around to tweaking them yet - - and don't know if they are ready for publishing or not.
I, too, pray you are feeling better and hubby is not sick.
What a unique sculpture!
What an unusual view of "dog tags" and a unique contribution to Weekend Reflections.
It is gorgeous!
It's disconcerting too, even though it does not have names of soldiers.
Hi,Dear
Very marvelous of reflection........
Summer Robes
Excellent. I'm hoping to be back in Seattle for the 5th time this September, I'll have to go back to SAM.
I love it when Museums allow photography. Thanks for sharing this one -- I actually *get* what the artist is saying, which always makes me feel good.
You got great pictures and it is perfect for this meme!
very interesting display of art, nice captured, have a good weekend
A profound piece of art... thanks for sharing with those of us who can't see it in person. Nice to "see" you and hope you're back to feeling on top of the world.
This is amazing!
That's a very interesting place to find a reflection and the perfect place to reflect.
Wow. This is heady stuff.
I remember this from your last time but I still find it incredibly impressive. Great reflection inside the robe, it took me a minute to figure it out.
Awesome and very cool - including your reflection!
