I went to Le Cordon Bleu Culinary Institute in Scottsdale for lunch the other day. The young students cook and serve the food. I will tell you all about my visit in an upcoming post. While I was there, I saw many things in a row!
Just look at all the things in a row in this photo! Pots! Pans! Ovens! Containers! Carts! Oh my!
So many bowls, so little time!
We saw a beautiful display of cakes. I am thinking that these are sticky buns in a row, on top of a cake made out of sugar.
How about a chocolate purse with white dots? In a row, of course! Remember, this is a CAKE!
Now, these beautiful items are made from sugar. I am posting two photographs from different angles; the second shows the sun shining down on these spectacular pieces.
Aren't these exquisite?
And finally, some freshly made pastries. Yum!
So, is your mouth watering yet?
What do you have for me this week, my little chickadees?

Yummy, my mouth is definitely watering. Those sugar sculptures are gorgeous and I love that purse cake.
this dish with flowers (or what is it) looks very good! :)
Fantastic workmanship. Are you sure that purse is a CAKE? Hope lunch was just as good.
I have been watching a show on tv about teams of bakers who create these amazingly bizarre cakes. It is quite interesting to see the techniques used.
Wow, so fun to see! I would love to go to a cooking school for a week (well, or maybe a day). I can't get enough of cooking shows on TV. :-|
i am thinking the stack of sticky buns needs some help being lightened...smiles.
Love these pics
what gorgeous sugar sculptures!
fantastic shots!
Incredible! I love all your pictures here, but that sugar purse is amazing!
Yummy! My son used to be a Conference Planning Manager at the Fairmont Scottsdale Princess Resort. We stayed there once and they had a welcome gift of a desert scene in our room, all edible! Cactus made of spun sugar, cow skulls of white chocolate and all manner of delicious sweetness!
Hi Pat ~~ You did really good on your things in a row this week.
Love looking at those pastries. They sure do beat the half of a granola bar that I just had for breakfast.
Those commercial kitchens are sooooo pretty yet very sanitary in all that stainless. Our church has a commercial kitchen.
..
Oh gee whiz, I gotta get in the car an dhit the bakery after this :}
I seriously am wanting those Buns!!Hahaaa

The cake with all the little "balls" stuck together is called a pièce montée. It's the traditional cake served at French weddings.
Those are amazing cakes! My friends son-in-law just graduated from Le Cordon Blue last November!
No rows for me this week. Haven't been out much with my camera. Guess I should have waited and posted what I had for this week instead of doing it on Saturday...lol.
Mouth waterin', thighs quiverin', tummy rumblin, and I'm droolin' like a five month old babe!!!
Glory to goodness girl...have mercy!
Heehehehehe!!!
I can't wait to hear the rest of the story!
God bless ya and have a phenomenal day!!! :o)
Oh good golly. I just ate, like, 30 minutes ago but that just made me so hungry.
