Signs - Beware of Bear!

This sign was posted in Yellowstone National Park. In case you can't read the handwriting, it says, "Carcass in area. Bears may be in area attempting to scavenge."

First off, it doesn't indicate what kind of carcass (does the word carcass always indicate animal or can it mean human? snort!)

Secondly, I truly understood the saying, "looking good enough to eat"! And I have a lot of meat on my bones!

I'm a pretty brave hiker but that sign would probably make me change my mind about this area.

I would probably stop long enough to photograph the sign and then I'd get out of there! That's one sign no one would dare ignore!

Be careful where you walk, Pat, and don't be afraid to scream if a bear comes near.

I really liked Brian's comment...

Awesome sign. For some reason I've always liked the word carcass.

If there's any thought of a wild animal encounter, I would definitely avoid it - - - but like you, curiosity makes me wonder what can of carcass is being eaten.
