Weekend Reflections #13

This sculpture is affectionately called "The Bean", located in Millennium Park in downtown Chicago. It's official name is "Cloud Gate", by Anish Kapoor. I love how the skyline is reflected in the sculpture. Obviously this was taken during the summer. If you were to walk by it today, there would be snow on the ground and snow flurries in the air!

I am gob-smacked by the design of that building, Pat. It must be really something to walk in under there AND to be able to see a teensy weeny version of yourself walking over the roof.

Good post.

That is one wild sculpture. Looks like it might "bake" you with solar radiation in the summer. We could use a little warm about now.

I do like your photo.

It is awesome. Looking at the photo, it looks like a giant bike helmet.

I already saw this wonderful sculpture on TV!(I'm in France..)
I always found it great. And it's true that nothing can be more perfect for this theme: the whole sculpture offers the biggest reflection that can be found! Great shot!

Oh the 'bean' is fantastic! The skyline looks fantastic and so do the distorted people! Wonderful reflection!

This is one of the best photos of this sculpture I've seen. You can clearly see the 'bean' shape and the city skyline. Well done!

That is so cool, love it. Makes me wonder how they made it. I mean that is super sharp.

Sorry to hear that you have snow.

I have always wanted to see this. My one trip to Chicago several years ago was for work and I was stuck in a hotel or conference room the entire time.

That is so cool. I could get carried away taking pictures of that. I wonder what the snowy reflections would look like.
Great reflection shot Pat.
