Miracle Elixir From the Mother

The other day I was sitting outside on the patio at my friend, Judy's  place. Then our friend, Marty, joined us. We were just chit-chatting like women do, when Judy said, "Marty, tell Pat about that "tonic" you take."

Marty makes up this special "tonic" and has been drinking it for well over a year. It is like a miracle elixir.

Marty said,

"Mix 1 cup of natural honey (from the area where you live if possible)
1 cup of apple cider vinegar "FROM THE MOTHER"

"From the mother? Not from the Father?" I said. "What the heck does that mean?"

Marty wasn't sure but you MUST use the apple cider vinegar "FROM THE MOTHER". You MAY find in in grocery stores, but MOST health food stores carry it.

Marty continued."Also add 8 cloves of garlic to the liquids."

"Wow. Not only will this ruin your sex life, but it will also protect you from vampires!" I said.

This is what it is supposed to help (according to the website www.rawfoodinfo.com):

Muscle or joint aches, Alzheimer's disease, arthritis, asthma, high blood pressure, hemorrhoids, infertility and impotence, toothaches, fewer colds and infectious diseases, obesity ( a powerful fat destroyer and weight reducer), ulcers, reduces high blood pressure and cholesterol, reduced risks of breast, blocks agents of cancer of the breast - colon - esophagus - skin - stomach and stimulates the immune system.

Okay so here it is again.

1 cup honey
1 cup apple cider vinegar from the mother (means unfiltered)
8 garlic cloves

Put all three ingredients in a blender and mix till smooth. (I "smashed" the garlic first on a cutting board, then threw them in the blender.)

It looks almost like milk when you first mix it together.

But then it settles down to a natural brown color. Store in refrigerator for 5 days. Then on the 6th day, SHAKE WELL. First thing in the morning, take 2 teaspoons of the concoction and then drink at least 1/4 cup of water. Then wait at least 30 minutes before eating. Bottoms up! Jim and I found it easier to quickly down it from a shot glass instead of taking it one teaspoon at a time. I admit, it's not that great tasting, but it's over in a second and the water helps.

When I was looking for the special apple cider vinegar, I called a local store. Here's how the conversation went:

Ring, ring.

me: "Hello, I'm looking for apple cider vinegar 'from the mother'. Do you have any?"

friendly young woman (FYW): "Yes, I'm sure we do."

Me: "......."

FYW: "Let me check to be sure!"

Me: " I would appreciate that!"

FYW: a couple minutes later "Well, we have apple cider vinegar 'by the mother'. Will that do?"

Me: "Close enough! I guess if it's near the mother it will work! Do you know what that means?"

FYW: "I have NO idea", laughing.

Me: "It means 'unfiltered'."

FYW: "Oh! And you're in luck! It's on sale today for $2.99!"

Me: "Yipee!"

We've been taking the tonic for four days now. I've yet to be doing cartwheels and handsprings, but I'll keep you informed on my progress!

Let me know if any of you try this concoction!

(Keep tonic refrigerated and be sure to shake it up every morning before taking it.)

Sounds like the miracle cure I am looking for!

I'm glad I'm not the only one who imagines it would taste awful. I'm eager to know how you get on with it.

What's it supposed to do and how much do you drink?

No way would that pass through my mouth. I hate garlic. I could handle the vinegar and honey. Hope it works for you.

I hope you stick with this for at least two months. It seems like it might take about that long to begin seeing some results. I take a bunch of powdered supplements. Apple cider vinegar is one of them. I am not copying the recipe down this time - - - but if you start feeling a difference in life, you must promise to post it again for us.

AND it keeps vampires away.
Or cures their hemorrhoids.
Either way, win-win.

that sounds disgusting for sure.

Hope it. is making you feel better! I remember cider vinegar cures were very popular in the 50'sr or 60's with my parent's generation!

I hope it works for you, but I have to admit, it doesn't sound very appetizing!!!

I'm sorry Pat but that just sounds frickin' nasty! LOL! After drinking that I'd be sick as a mother! With all that garlic I'll bet it keeps your friends away too ; )

With that much garlic not only would you keep the vampires away but also zombies, werewolves and every human within a mile radius.

It sounds totally disgusting but if it works it might be worth it. Can't wait to hear if it works for you.

I used to take this "detox" concoction and once in a while if I remember would take this similar to your elixir, minus the garlic. It is honey and apple cider (regular) a teaspoon each stirred in a glass of water.

And I just so happen to think I have that vinegar around here somewhere! Think I'll try this... Can't hurt!
Thanks Pat!!

Me and hubby drink that "tonic" Pat and I'd tell you it works and since I always put garlic in anything I cook, I don't have a problem with garlic with the honey and vinegar. In fact, garlic will build the immune system too. ^_^

Actually, I think the bacon in the skillet in the above post looks a lot more appetizing! ;-) Keep us posted on your results.

Uh...I was with you until I saw that it cures infertility. I am infertile and don't want to go back there again! ;-)

Can't wait to see how it goes...I take 1 T of apple cider vinegar in the morning which has negated the need for prilosec. Yah!
