Thursday's Things in a Row

This week's "Things in a row" are from the park where we spend the winter.

I found these saguaros (pronounced "suh-wahr-oh") standing tall and proud:

The shuffleboards were oiled and readied for play.

The scoreboards were cleaned and waiting for marks. The benches are neatly lined up, too!

We have our own post office in the park; here are just some of the mail boxes.

Here is a rare sight indeed! Empty loungers at the pool!

Now THIS is a more common sight.....bicycles parked in a row. Riding a bicycle is a popular form of transportation in the park; then comes a golf cart.

Palm trees line the main drive of the park. I took this first photo from a second story window at sunset last week. Since this photo was taken, white lights have been added to the trunk of each palm tree so it is really lit up at night.

Here are the trees during the day. Still an impressive sight, with the humongous American Flag waving at the entrance to the park.

That's a little tour of where I spend my winter months. What have you got from your neck of the woods?

Palm trees? I'm totally envious! It's rainy, windy and about 45 here.

Palm trees and it looks warm. I was raking leaves this afternoon in 33 degree weather, now we are getting 40mph wind gusts. Of course those leaves are no longer in a pile but they are in my neighbor's yard at least. :)

Great line-ups, Pat. How come I never see things like that... I must walk round with my eyes shut. The park looks a big place and I love the palm trees.

Wow! Those Palms and cacti are enormous! You MUST take a picture of the palms with the lights for us! I bet it is great!

The park looks like it is well planned. I see that each of the camper spots has a little privacy fence area that you can use under your awning. That is a wonderful idea! Nice shady spot to relax in private with friends. I haven't seen that before but I like it.

The pool makes me shiver--got down to 26 last night here. ack! Winter is creeping in...

Enjoy the warmth--glad you made it there safely! :)

Looks like a pretty wonderful place to spend the winter.
But it looks like you were the only one out that day. :)
