Thursday's Things in a Row

The bad news is, my sister, Pam, lost her job a couple of months ago. The good news is, now I have someone to explore all the different stores in the area. This particular day we visited an antique mall. I was only able to take four photos before my battery died. Darn it! I was NOT prepared like a good photographer should be!

I just loved how these old rolling pins were displayed!

I hate ironing, and I can't IMAGINE ironing with one of these back in the day!

What's really sad is seeing things that I grew up with - and finding out that they are considered "antiques"! How could that even be possible? Like these glasses, for instance.

Or these California Raisins. C'mon, seriously? Antiques? I am NOT old! Well, at least I'll just keep telling myself that. It really helps when I continually forget my age. It's pretty sad when I have to ask my twin sister how old we are.....even then sometimes SHE forgets! Ha ha!

So, do you have any oldies but goodies this week?

Hi Pat, antique stores have a lot of things in a row I generally have several 'row pictures' when I leave.

Sorry about your sister's job and your camera giving out.

Glad to hear your sister is making such good use of her free time. :)) (How nice that you can spend time with her.)

Camera batteries have a bad habit of running low at the worst times!

There is bright side to no job, you get to spend time together.

In Arkansas, a car is considered antique if it is more than tweny years old. That should help...you're an aniques, just older than twenty.

Love the rows today.

Ye gods, I so remember those flat irons, thank goodness we've moved on to electric. Thanks for the memory, Pat ... I think...grins.

I am always amazed at what is considered antique. I still use a rolling pin very similar to one in your pic, it was my Grandmom's and it still gets the job done.

I love the wooden rolling pin display. It is such a cool way to show them off. Bet the prices on them are high. The ones with the red and green handles are so quaint. The irons make me tired just looking at them. Can you imagine having to use one of them for any length of time. I cannot believe the California Raisins are actually called antiques. That makes me a REAL antique. Loved the post. genie

Nice subject. Really like the rolling pins display too. Reminds me of the Antique stores we have here in Ottawa- Yes, lots of stuff we grew up with is now considered Antique! :)

Sorry to hear your sister lost her job but as you said now you have a shopping partner. Are the California raisins really that old? OMG, how old does that make us.

Sorry I've missed the last two weeks, life got in the way. I'm going to do my best to get back next week.
