Signs - What's in a Name?


Living on the road for several years gave us a chance to see many funny named roads. I always wonder about the stories behind the names. Like this one, for instance! Would YOU take the chance and drive on this road? ha ha!

    ha. we have Butthollow Rd near here...and there is a sign for it on the interstate...lol

    I love it! I saw a creek off I-90 in Wyoming called 'Crazy Woman Creek'. My fiance' quipped, 'look babe! They named it after you!' har-dee-har-har

    We'd be deliberately going down that road just to see what it was like. Not now - we are past all that - but in our younger days little would have stopped us.

    isn't that funny? i always wonder how old roads got a name. there's one around here call "odd fellows road" and i wonder what made the fellows so odd that they named the road that? lol
