This beautiful wooden bridge was originally built in 1863 and spans 149 feet over the Big Bureau Creek in Princeton, IL. It was placed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1975.

ReplyDeleteThe covered bridge reminds me of The Bridges of Madison County. I read the sign and got a chuckle about the amount of animals allowed to be led across the bridge at one time.
