Bridge Wannabe |
I made my husband pull the truck over to the side of the road and I hopped out to take the picture. It was only a two lane road; not too busy. As I was taking the picture, I heard a car slow down and then stop. I glanced up and saw that it was a police car. The policeman lowered his window and said, "Heck of a place to take a picture." I just laughed. He said, "I hate to see you get hit." Then he rolled up his window and took off! When I had walked over to the bridge, there were no cars coming!

ha, that is a perfect shot for that saying! funny about the police officer! once when we were living in missouri, we drove up to kansas city for bbq and took a wrong turn and ended up in the projects and stopped to ask a police officer for directions. he gave us directions and then told us to get the h out of that area lol....a little bit scary!
ReplyDeleteThat is funny to buy a bridge, glad you made the photo. Why was the policeman stopping, it is not forbidden to make a picture is it? Here we say "Get a thief".
ReplyDeleteI would have wanted to stop, too, but I don't think my spouse would have been so accommodating.
ReplyDeleteGlad the police were so friendly.
Good shot! I did that same thing a couple of weeks ago. No police, but I actually did have to dodge the traffic a bit. What we will do for a shot LOL.
ReplyDeleteIf the cop really was concerned about your safety, he could have stayed until you had driven off. Afterall, had you been hit, he would just have had to drive back...
ReplyDeletehaha...um where does it lead? i might actually want it if it goes somewhere nice...smiles.
ReplyDeleteThat is too funny! the bridge to nowhere!
ReplyDeletehahaha, mader me laugh and I needed that today :)
ReplyDeleteBuy a bridge, to funny !
ReplyDeletePat, do you happen to know if the Brooklyn Bridge is for sale?
ReplyDeletePat...You lucked out with that cop. Had you been in this county you would have been cited. These guys are downright hateful. This is a great sign and a pretty darn nice bridge. Yes, I will be tickled to add your blog to my list. Happy you asked. Genie
ReplyDeleteThat is quite a funny sign. I love little bridges but don't need to buy one.
ReplyDeleteIt's always a challenge trying to get shots of something when there's not a good place to pull over. That's funny about the police. Well, you never know when you may need a nice bridge! I hope their business is good!
ReplyDeleteGood for you, I'm glad you captured this, it's really funny!
ReplyDeleteLike the bridge to nowhere - strange comment from the cop btw...what a wonderful life adventure you and your husband are having!
ReplyDeleteLondon Bridge, anyone? LOL!
ReplyDeleteLOL I'll take 3! Fun! You guys have great adventures! Cop...seriously???? You didn't see any donut boxes on his seat--like he was on that out of the way road to get some quiet time? (Did I say that????)
