Sunday Bridges - Carlsbad Pecos River

The town of Carlsbad, New Mexico is famous for its Caverns, but the center of town has a beautiful park that runs along the Pecos River.

This is a pedestrian bridge that straddles the river; here is a view of it from afar.

A close up view.

  1. Well, you've taken «Louis» back to his childhood! He remembers visiting the Carlsbad Caverns, taken there by an aunt and uncle who lived in Hobbs, NM. («Louis» grew up in Lubbock, TX.) He remembers swimming in this river after the visit to the Caverns.

«Louis» thanks you for your contribution to Sunday Bridges.

  4. Lovely bridge. It looks quite a distance from one side to the other, guess my legs would get tired by half way.
