This is the Rio Grande Gorge Bridge which is located about ten miles north of Taos, New Mexico. This beautiful bridge spans 650 feet above the Rio Grande, which makes this the fifth highest bridge in the United States. Total span length: 1,280 feet.

ReplyDeleteNo way I'd be looking down - - - it would be eyes straight ahead only or I might pass out. Even looking at your picture looking over the edge makes my stomach flip-flop a bit. But the bridge is GORGEOUS! I am so glad you travel for us!
ReplyDeleteloved all the pictures, the third one down was my favorite! only went to Taos one time when we lived in Santa Fe and I don't think we saw this bridge....not being a fan of heights, I'm sure we didn't because I would have remembered it :)

ReplyDeleteWhat a fantastic bridge! You probably will laugh if I tell you that I have a fear of crossing bridges. I would cross this one but be very nervous doing so. I'm such a whimp! LOL

ReplyDelete«Louis» grew up in the Texas Panhandle and used to vacation in New Mexico. He has been over this bridge several times - but had forgotten about it. This really is spectacular!
That is one big beautiful bridge. I love the reflections in the river below.
