Watery Wednesday #69
I've been away for a couple of weeks so I've missed a few posts for Watery Wednesday. Today's pictures are from when we were in Nashville, TN. People told us that we HAD to visit the Gaylord Opryland Hotel and just walk around it. It truly was something to behold. One whole section, called the "Delta", is made up like the city of New Orleans.
Everything looks so lush - there are green plants every where. There is even a small river that winds around through the center of the hotel.
You could get on a small flat boat and take a ride on the river.
Remember. You are INSIDE a HOTEL! You will pass waterfalls!
There are shops and restaurants spread throughout the hotel. It was the Christmas season when we visited, so the decorations were phenomenal. Another section is called the Garden Conservatory. Again, there are more shops and restaurants. And plants, fountains, and waterfalls.
Here is a small video of the cute fountains....

Oh my goodness, all that water indoors, how wonderful! I love the waterfalls and little fountains.
ReplyDeleteThat is bad ass! There's a place similar to that here in Palm Springs. It's a hotel and you take gondolas and stuff inside . . . I'm gonna have to go for a visit.
ReplyDeleteToo fun! I'd love to go somewhere indoors right this minute and look at water and not feel any pouring down on my head.
ReplyDeleteHave I said "welcome back?" I've been reading but not writing much lately.
Those are beautiful!

My husband & I were there a few years ago, and... "Wow!" We couldn't believe it. And pictures don't really do it justice, but yours are Wonderful!
ReplyDeleteThat is a freaking hotel? How much money do you need to stay there?
ReplyDeleteThat looks fabulous! I went to that hotel that Meeko talked about! Loved it. And it was ALSO featured on an episode of Saved by the Bell. What are the odds? Anyway it looks fabulous. Nashville is on the list. It is indeed.
ReplyDeleteIs the river in an atrium? The light around the plants and boat looks so natural, one would swear it was outside.... can't be artificial lighting...or can it?
