I cannot take credit for the photo, stumbled across the story on the internet. |
Yes, you are reading that correctly. A jewelry store in Atlanta, Georgia decided that this was a good idea. Talk about a "shotgun wedding"! The buyer had to spend at least $2500 on a ring to get a free rifle. But not to worry. The person didn't just walk out of the store with a ring in one hand and a rifle in the other. The buyer was given a voucher and then had to comply with applicable laws at the gun stores.
Well, THAT'S a sigh of relief!

so much wrong with that, but so funny :)
lol
I want both! The reflection from that diamond might scare my deer away.
You need to send that one in to Jay Leno!!!!!
That's pretty funny stuff! A ring and a gun combo. Very redneck.
Funny ! Take her hunting with ya in exchange for the ring lol !
this is scary on both fronts - from my perspective anyway!
Ha, awesome sign!
This is pretty hilarious, I am glad that it wasn't that easy though to get the rifle. :D
ha that is like the best of both worlds....every one gets what they want...smiles.
Sounds like a fair deal - both parties are happy! ;-) And, yes, I am glad the buyer is required to comply with the pertinent gun laws. Gotta be able to put food on the table now that a ring has been purchased. Thanksgiving is coming up!
Holy cow!
I'm have terrible visions of the honeymoon to come...
On another topic entirely...Your header shot and background are just fantastic!
Wow that is something you won'r see everywhere. I find it quite scary.
Pat, isn't that called "getting two birds with one stone"? Scary thought....desperate hunter gets a deal he could not refuse.....I feel sorry for the bride, if there still is one!!
Oh lordy, how can one resist such an offer :)
BTW, I love your header image.
Must give you a pellet gun for cubic zirconium.
Hmmmm. I really cannot believe this combination! :)
I need my husband to go by that store!
This is just one of those funny signs! The placement of words is so wrong, hahaha.
Inside Cambodia
Love it!
I was just back in Mississippi this past weekend. I wouldn't have been at all surprised to see a sign like this one there as well. The guys are going to get their rifles anyway, so at least this deal makes both sides happy! :)
a scarier sign would be if it was in reverse...
and yes, there really is a Leslieville!
