Signs - The Lusty Lady

The Lusty Lady, a strip club and peep show, was established in the 1970's. It is located in downtown Seattle, across from the Seattle Art Museum (SAM). The club is well known in the area for it's ever changing, tongue-in-cheek marquees.

We toured the Seattle Art Museum a couple of years ago, and I snapped this photo of the marquee.

The Lusty Lady closed its doors in June 2010.

Apparently the economy was sagging more than the ladies' breasts.

Oh, and how long did you really enjoy living in your 5th wheel? We have been doing it for 2 years now. I have to admit that I am itching to move, but the parents still have needs here...

Maybe someone kept a photo log of their signs and could add them to the SAM?!

Every time we go out to Seattle to see my son and his family the first place we go it to that art museum. It has to be one of my all time favorites. Just the right size. But NEVER did I see this funky little strip joint across the street. Maybe I was always too busy looking at that huge sculpture. Love your shots. They have put a grin on my face tonight. Genie

Delightful... there's not enough fun silly humor out there anymore. This old marquee put the smile I need on my face to continue packing for our house move... (pity it's gone)

Too bad the place closed. The signs looked like they presented a bit of humor in tough times.

I bet the walls in that building could tell a story or two if they could talk. Funny sign.
